30.07.12 - Can I.S. be anymore retarded than it already is?

What a productive morning. Yes, indeed, i came to I.S. just to watch 'The Social Network' which i have 0 interest in. The only amusing part was how the girls in my class reacted to Andrew Garfield in the movie. #CRAZYFANGIRLMODE. Anyways, i obviously didn't learn anything much. In fact, i did not even learn anything at all. wow. All i did was Facebook, yes, Facebookception, twitter and i even had time to download two songs which were in my lost ipod way back in 2010. Sara Bareille's 'Gravity' and Adele's 'Take It All'. Two all time favorites! (: All that was on my mind the whole time was 'ANI-MATION. ANI-MATION. ANI-MATION." damn it. Seriously. I still don't get the point of I.S. and it's benefits -.- After I.S. i went to Makan Place to have lunch by myself (Forever Alone) since Firdaus was fasting and Cheryl was on the way. I was suppose to meet up with them in the animation lab to discuss our 60 seconds show reel for Cam&Lighting's final assignment, and also to finish our final animation assignment. OMG. MY LIFE IS SHIT. As usual, we all started animating first before discussing, and this obviously took up so much of our time, Firdaus, who wanted to leave at 4, left at 6:40. WELL DONE. lol. My final assignment for animation has been going well so far.. I think i might get a good grade <:E we discussed our Cam&Lighting project and we were apparently the loudest group in the animation lab because we had so many Dora, Saw and Amnesia ideas, and the shots and such. I have a feeling its gonna be great :) 6:40pm, and everyone headed home. I took 74 from NP's busstop for the first time since i was with Trevor and wanted to discover new routes :) I stopped at Trevor's stop which was at Hougang and hopped on 147 to get back to Serangoon. I was dead tired by then which was probably around 9pm+. So good night :) XOXO Shaun

29.07.12 - Michelle's meet and greet fail/2 Point Perspective marathon!

Assignments.. Assignments... every... fucking... where. AND WHATS WORSE IS THAT THEY ARE ALL DUE ON WEEK 17! Give us a break boobooz... I guess you could say that today (Note the date i used in the title) was pretty much a very productive day. :) Thats a +1 for me then! But it wasn't all that great in the morning -.- If you read my Facebook statuses and such, you would have known that i wanted to meet Michelle Phan like real bad... and she actually came to town this sunday for a short meet and greet with the public and also to have her Master Class. In her youtube video, she stated that she would be coming down from 3-3:30pm. But i obviously failed to read her tweets and her Facebook update informing us that the timing had been changed to 12:30pm. So i, being incredibly dumb and retarded, headed down to Vivo after church @ around 2+ just to see a poster with Michelle's face on it saying 'Michelle Phan's exclusive meet and greet at 12:30pm!' OMG I WANTED TO BITCH SLAP SOMEBODY SO BADLY. LOL. No shit. Face palm alone definitely isn't enough to help me realize just how retarded iam. MY GOSH >< But but... on a positive note, i finally finished my 2 point perspective which is due this week! Buildings and all that shit. Pretty easy actually. Once you get into the hang of it.

27.07.12 - Photoshop level: OVER 9000!!!

I know i know, this is already like a one day late post. I really have to keep this blog up! Don't wanna let it die out again haha! Anyways, Friday.. Yes, good old friday. I initially planned to head down to the animation lab to complete my final animation assignment. But it turns out that i was too lazy to get my ass out of the house and head down to Ngee Ann. Yes, i even had trouble getting my eyes off my mac and heading out for lunch. So much so that i even skipped lunch. LOL. But i wasn't really THAT hungry. so, yup. Anyways, i stayed home for the whole day and just sat on my sit and photoshopped shit. Because i was bored and because i could LOL. Since my class was making fun of Firdaus's creepy signature smile, i thought to myself, why not? So obviously.. i had to do this:

The second one wasn't really well done, as you can see, i didn't chose that one because it was too big, so Christina wasn't featured :( She got cropped out :( haha yeah. All these took me like 5 hours or so, took up most of my time. Yes, call me noob, because i really am that noob haha! Considering the fact that i didn't use photoshop at all in my entire life... yup. Had to grab my own dinner from the central because my parents were out having dinner with my brother. So i headed down to the central and withdrew $20. I was starving by then and i was kinda shaking because like i said, i didn't take my lunch. MY LIFE IS FULL OF REGRETS. Le sigh. So, i bought some nasi lemak and made my way to the busstop. DAMN IT! i actually missed four buses because they were all packed with people -.- I was obviously frickin' pissed because i was already so hungry (Don't ask me why i didn't eat there) and i was literally dying of hunger. I know right... As i headed home after i missed the fourth one, i thought to myself, if i had actually made my way home after i missed the first bus or the second bus, i would have reached home like 30 minutes earlier or something. My fifth bus suddenly stopped beside me for some other people to get up and i was like. o_o okay.. so i boarded it and yeah.. Kinda stupid i know but still... 25.07.12 - It's a Facebook, Twitter and a Youtube day/Voices

Firstly, let me apologize for not updating my blog for about 2 days as of now >< But i mean, really, who cares right? Although my blog views did increase significantly for some reason. Maybe it's because i publicize it a little too much? haha. Anyways, Mondays and Tuesdays are always pretty much.. Well, somewhat boring to be honest. I.S. and everything. But it's a good thing that lessons end early on both monday and tuesday :D Speaking of which, I FREAKING S IS ENDING NEXT MONDAY! WOO! I mean, nobody in the right mind would like I.S. right?! Right?! Maybe its because of the friends they made that made them like it. Like me, I only like I.S. because i met wonderful people like Nabilah, Khalisah, Ana and Crispin! Who are obviously my group mates. Just look at me, do you think i'm a socializer who goes around making friends with the whole class? no. Yeap, got my I.S. results for both the reflections, our documentary and the Pitch. We attained a 27/40 for our documentary and a 14/20 for our Pitch. Which.. Wasn't really great.. at all :( 27/40 is like kind a bad. But not bad.. Oh well, whats done has been done. No point crying over spilt milk. We did our best, and thats the most important thing :) scored a 8/10 for my tour reflection and a 14/20 for my seminar reflection.. i guess.. which isn't a bad thing still. There's nothing interesting to talk about on tuesday, so i shall just leave it! :) Today was.. Just.. really awesome. Classes were boring as hell. As mentioned in the title above, 'It's a Facebook, Twitter and a Youtube day'. Well, it really is, and it happens every wednesday. Because when Mr. Kim explains stuff about Design&Typo, my scumbag brain will automatically shut itself down and i will just hop unto Facebook or Twitter and glue my eyes to the screen >.> It's really really boring i'm tellin' ya. Drawing&Perspective was all about just continuing our final assignment which was to draw a two point perspective building and have it completed by next week. Week 16. Damn, Good news though, since FMS doesn't have any exams at all, we get to start our vacation two weeks earlier than everybody else! Not sure about Mass Comm, since Kellie said they will still be having classes, but this is just.. just.. awesome. AWESOME! -SCREAMS VIOLENTLY!- So i'm probably gonna just hide in my room and hibernate the whole two weeks though. Great plan? yes indeed.. During class, we realized that Regina still has yet to learn her lesson about closing your laptop each time to leave the classroom. And THAT is a rule that no one in T12 should EVER forget. HAHA! Never leave your laptop open, for Trevor and Jeremy might just be around the corner waiting to hack your computer and making you gay on FB. LOL. ALWAYS making people gay.. This two fellows ah. haha. Drawing and Perspective lesson ended and i headed down to Munch to meet Kellie, Amanda, Dominic, Rowena and Xin Yu @ 6pm. Today was Lenon's 'farewell' day. Notice the quotes i put around farewell. Because Lenon was like 'Guys, It's not as if i'm gonna leave forever and not come back." And i was like NO.jpg. Haha, But i really wanna wish him all the best in NS and to his bright future ahead.. -Cough- Amanda - Cough-.. :Ifyouknowwhatimean: ok, Enough. haha. So i decided to make him a farewell card and get all the Voice's members who are close to him to write him a farewell message.

I also bought him '50 shades of grey' for him as a present since he really wanted a book. HAHA! BEST PRESENT EVA!!!! We tried to touch his present up nicely before giving it to him after practice as we had no time and HE. WAS. LATE. AGAIN. yep ^^ Voice's was really good i guess. Although there wasn't a lot of people.. I guess.. there today. We ran through Pink's 'Raise Your Glass' and 'Price Tag' as a whole and since Joe wanted to do 'If I Ain't Got You', Kellie and I had to go out and practice again. Though i wish Amanda and Lenon could try out again as well haha! My falsetto was really really stuck. Like, i have no idea why, maybe its falsetto cancer or something, but my falsetto just can't seem to make up its mind on wanting to come out or not. Like, Its been stuck for a very long period of time and i can't hit those low notes in falsetto anymore like i used to. URGH! So annoying. So, when i had to sing If I Ain't Got You's chorus in falsetto, just like how usher did, my falsetto got stuck a few times and then i sounded awful and all muffled up. I. JUST. DON'T. GET. IT. URGH. Kellie did really well though! :) She's just so good when she sings! After that, the girls and the mix group went outside the rehearse their songs while the guys stead inside the room to do 'Open Arms', Boyz II Men's version. I have no idea why, but Joe suddenly placed me in backing vocals 1. 1?! I was like 1?! and i still have no idea why o_O The notes were really high and i had to use my broken falsetto for 80% of the time. Really sucks to have your falsetto broken when you need it the most. I kind of hate it when Joe asks each one of us from each backing vocal sections to do a one on one kinda thing with the other backing vocals with a solo. Mainly because my falsetto was so broken and disgusting. I sounded so hoarse, so i had to use my falsetto at the back of my head and sing the high notes. Joe apparently didn't notice my mistakes and allowed me to carry on. oh wow. Open Arms was generally okay, but i think Joe should just leave the song to the seniors to take care of it for 'Prelude'. :D When everyone gathered back, Joe told us to decide on a upbeat song. So, he gave us 4 choices: Some DJ wants something back song, Ne-Yo's 'Give Me Everything Tonight', Party Rock Anthem, and We Are Young. Wen Kai and i were like 'WE ARE YOUNG!". Apparently, Joe didn't hear us. But, if we can, ITS A MUST TO DO 'WE ARE YOUNG'. If we can't, I'm most probably going with Give Me Everything Tonight. Two great songs. Obviously We Are Young is way better. :] Practice ended and Amanda and Phoebe presented the card and the book to Lenon. AWW! AWW! AWW! We took a group picture with the gifts Lenon was holding on to! after that, Amanda and Jesmine had to rush off home and Phoebe and Lenon went with the seniors to eat at Mac. So Kellie and i strolled off to the busstop singing powerhouse songs like Ain't No Other Man and stuff like that. KELLIE HAS YET TO SHOW ME HER INNER AGUILERA HAHA. We also decided to do a cover of 'Somewhere Out There' in the near future. The one Kellie linked us. THE SONG IS SO GOOD DAMN. 22.07.12 - Doodles

Pretty boring day i guess.. Really had nothing to do. Met up with Keith to hang around in my house since we both had nothing to do and just wanted to catch up on our lives. We ate at Long John Silvers' before heading back to my house. Talked a lot about SPVT and what he did yesterday at his conductor's Earl's VT party haha! Talked a lot about Voices too and about my audition with Kellie and my beloved buddies and all that :D Went to Popular to get some stuff for someone, in which i'm not suppose to say who. HAHA! I think i just made it sound so obvious LOL. Anyways, I also got this really usable file which can hold lots of papers and stuff. So that makes it easier to sort out my papers and assignments and animation papers and all that. Yup. We headed back to my house shortly after and then did lots of stupid stuff together. Stuff like, Power belting out high chest notes and falsetto notes. Practicing our growls and all those random stuff. Hugging Shiki and taking photos together. HAHA! I got really bored so i decided to play this game where we had 1 minute to draw our favorite celebrities on Keith's Paint from memory. HAHA! We came up with celebrities like britney spears, Jessie J, J Hudson, J Holiday, Beyonce etc. HAD SO MUCH FUN, i'm tellin' ya. haha! Our drawings here frickin' hilarious. Well, to us it is. LOL

Yes, we even drew Justin Bieber. Can you spot him? HAHA! So basically thats my whole day. Sang a little more, and then i sent Keith to the busstop. Hope tomorrow's gonna be a fine day :) But i seriously have no idea what the hell we're gonna do for I.S. XOXO Shaun

21.07.12 - Ice Age 4 and visiting grandma at Ren Ci's Community Hospital :)

So, ITE has arranged this "Enjoy a movie" day for all the ITE staff and student thingy, and since my mom works at ITE as a deputy director, we got 5 free tickets to watch 'Ice Age 4' at suntec city :) My parents, my sister and her guy friend Jia Ji went to watch it together since my brother doesn't talks or interacts with us at all. The movie just too cute! All the characters and the story, its just such a adorable movie. I even wanted to just smell and squeeze some of the animals at some parts. JUST. SO. ADORABLE. and and.. the textures of the movie and the character design, the ease in and ease out of the animation the.. the.. UGH! it was just too much to handle. #DVFXproblems haha! Yep, after watching Ice Age 4, we had some tea reception that filled our stomachs quite a bit and then we headed to visit grandma at Ren Ci's Community Hospital!

Grandma looked fine i guess except she mysteriously had a blue black on her knee which i don't know how she got it, most probably a side effect on the operaton or something like that. But other than that, shes looking quite decent i guess :) Hope she gets better soon! Headed home after that and took quite a couple of nice pictures.. I guess :)

20.07.12 - A trip to Singapore Poly and a first time experience in Voice's choir

I know its already passed 12am, sorry for the late post, got to caught up with the fact that SDAR is trending on twitter. Why? D: Anyways, Went to Singapore Poly to visit my beloved friends keith and hani! Along with Cherie. Had loads of fun. I basically went there because i missed them so so much and i wanted to sing with them since they are in SP's Vocal Talent, which is something like voices, but its SP's version. Yeap, as i said, loads of fun. We even went to the clubroom's male changing room and took photos there, camwhored a lot in the changing room, in the toilets and basically everywhere xD Ate a second lunch or rather, my early dinner at SP's Koufu which sells exactly the same things as NP's Koufu. Though, the milo costs $1.20 there. Pfft. haha. I haven't tried the hotdog bun in which my whole class went crazy about. But.. if i ever get the chance again, i will. haha! We met VT's senior Danial at Koufu and spammed some really awesome pictures again. HAHA! We're such camwhores :)

After such a great bonding session, i decided to skip dinner at home since i was so full and decided to head for Voices back in NP. Except, this is choir, not aca haha. Practice was really interesting.

Lao Shi's (Choir conductress) Voice was absolutely amazing, and she really blew me away with her heavy vibrato, the richness in her tone and the way how she expresses her music. Wow. Just wow. Imagine Joe doing a opera duet with Lao Shi. MIND BLOWN. HAWLY SHIT JUST GOT SO REAL! I mean, seriously, i was just thinking about that and how awesome it would be if they really dueted. Anyways, we sang two songs today, one was an english song and the other was a chinese song. I totally murdered the chinese song in a really bad way and it just goes to show how retarded my chinese is. Here's a peak at how their scores look like HAHA.

The english song is really nice and it has a really soothing tone to it. Wow haha. We had sectionals for the guys and the altos and i got to play the piano and help the guys out. The guys were pretty fine i guess. Don't know about the rest but the choir sounded really good when everyone came in together with different harmonies and tones.. Caught up with Jia Qian during practice today, talked to him a little and got to know him more :) His a really great senior :D Went home with cherie and when i got home, I had to upload tons and tons of photos, it just gets really tiring and its already 2:19am in the morning now. 18.07.12 - The fun doesn't stops there

Today was pretty much a normal day for a DVFX student like me. Yes, if you guys haven't known, and are still pretty much stuck in the past of my horribly written forever 14 y/o blog, i'm already 18 as of this year, 2012. And i'm studying in Ngee Ann Poly's DVFX, under the school of FMS. Really love my school, just sayin' (: Anyways, today was pretty much a really long day. Had Design and Typography in the morning and as always, my whole class loves making fun of Mr. Kim's accent and the way he pronounces stuff. Like when he wants to say "Design", he says "Degine" HAHA! oops, just had to say it haha! and other instances when he wanted to say faith's name, he said "face". Oh my, i couldn't stop laughing. So did everybody, especially sufyan. We learnt how to further use After Effects for our final project which was 'moving images'. pretty interesting i must say, learnt how to make like cubes appear as fountains and stuffs and make fans move and how to make the background move etc. Lesson was kinda interesting but it isn't so much with Mr. Kim teaching it. :( I can't really hear what he has to say and he has this thing where he will crescendo and diminuendo every time he talks which can be really annoying too, but funny.. at the same time. lol But sometimes his lesson can really bore me out. Especially when i do not have enough sleep the previous night or stuff like that, and i hate it when it happens. Erwin's Drawing & Perspective class went by pretty quickly actually, which surprised me. His lessons usually seems like as if its been going on for centuries and decades. Its freaking 5 hours of damn drawing from 1pm to 6pm. And it really tires me out to have to sit there and draw and draw and draw, sometimes youtube, facebook, and draw and draw and ... -le faints-. Yeah, something like that. So today for Drawing & Perspective, we all displayed our master copy's and obviously faith owns us all again with this:

It looks like faith took a picture of the original and called it her own. Well.. she did. Just kidding xD She actually drew the effing master's copy. So josh was like Masters art or Master's art? Yeah, you pretty much get my point right? right. But i'm also kinda inspired by Cherylahy's words to not compare with faith's because we all have different artistic backgrounds, so yup! not comparing! Well, she did really well, I bet erwin gave her an 'A'. haha. He reviewed mine and said that i could get an 'A' as well! -Extreme spasms- but he also said that my 'A' wasn't a stable one because i cropped out lots of stuff from the original that was suppose to be in the picture. and the proportion wasn't right as well. He said that the woman i drew had a butt chin. hmm.. Here's my master art:

After displaying our work, we went back and we were suppose to pick a name and we have to draw the person who we picked out. So i don't know whether i'm lucky or not, but i had to partner up with Jeremy Tan haha! and so he drew me first. He took a really long time but the end result was pretty good i guess. His drawing was really good though :) My turn. I completely destroyed Jeremy's face when i started to draw him. It was like a world war on my drawing block. Bombs.. Bombs everywhere.. It was atrocious. But i was glad that Jeremy got to draw me though. We then went on to two point perspective drawing and my reference was a court house or something? Something simple. And i can never get two point perspective right. Even though it's suppose to be real easy. Lesson ended and i headed down to Munch to meet Amanda, Kellie and Lenon. Oh i love my buddies so much! Yeah, so we ate dinner together and celebrated Jesmine's birthday too. haha! I like how she ignored Amanda who was going to surprise her for a cute guy sitting behind Amanda. WIN. But anyways, headed to voices at around 6:34pm or so and apparently we were early. wow. Kellie and i tried out for the Alicia Key's Feat. Usher's duet version of 'If I Ain't Got You' and so did Amanda and Lenon. I think they were forced if i'm not wrong haha. Beatrice who was like a mentor, haha, mentioned that Kellie and i were suited for this duet because our tones kinda matched (Like the strong voices kinda tone) and we were able to get the notes right and blended well. So yeap. Oh yes, as well as the connection too :) So we all went in and Kellie and i were the first pair to perform it in front of Joe. OH GOSH WHY. I didn't do my best of course. I was obviously nervous but Kellie delivered like a boss even though she was sick. Haha, good on you Kellie! Joe said that i needed to tone my voice a little bit down more because i was still slightly over the top. Well, guess his right :\ And i think he said something about how it was the girls and not the guys who go over the top in American Idol and i was like.. American Idol and me.. seems legit haha. Amanda and lenon went next and they sounded like Taylor Swift meets James Morrison or John mayer. You know, sweet and wonderfully cute. HAHA. Yes, i said it. oops! They were kinda like the more peaceful, calm and composed pair while Kellie and I were more of the powerhouse kinda duet pair. We did pretty well overal. We then got to do Mad World and somehow my solo got taken away by Jia Qian o_O what? i don't know what Joe was thinking or wants to do, But if my solo has to be taken away and given to Jia Qian, then so be it, i think his really good too :) Not forgetting to mention that his a great senior to me :) so yup, to summarize it all, it was a really good and refreshing practice. Got home at 12am and still had to do my Storyboard for my Animation -.- Hope you guys enjoy reading this :) XOXO Shaun

New blog!

Hello people of the world! i hope this post doesn't bores you out too much. Well, as you can see, this is my new blog and obviously, there will be many more posts to come (I hope). I just had to create this new blog because my previous one was all.. you know how some people say, "i was young and stupid back then". Well, that applies to why i had to create a new blog :) Anyways, i'm back. Actually part of the reason why i created a new one was also because i got inspired by Amanda to start posting again. Thanks buddy :) so, i'm back. yay! Many things had happen this past 2 years after my last post. Yes, it was 2009 when Candy, my previous dog passed away. But as of now, we have finally found a new dog and we named him Shiki! here's his pictures!

Just so you know, the one where i'm carrying him is one of the more recent pictures of him and the one that looks terribly adorable was back in march when he was just born. How adorable, We will definitely take better care of him! Many stuff happened as i said, i got 18 points for my recent O levels, raw. Which means 16 points after they cut-off my CCA points. Really disappointed though. But then i realized that almost all the sec 5's scored around the same points or worse. Well, what do you have to say about MOE? sucks right? i know.. I currently am studying in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's DVFX under the school of FMS and i'm definitely lovin' it here. The people, my friends, the environment, everything. Everything's kinda perfect and even better than in Secondary School. Recently joined my youth ministry's worship team as a vocalist and it was really awesome to just worship god on a whole new level. Really interesting and exciting :) Joined NP Voices where Mr. Goh Eu Joe is my conductor, AGAIN.. yes, again. haha. He behaves exactly the same as how he did back in secondary school except for the fact that his a little less stricter as compared to in secondary school where he used to slam the piano and scold us and whatnot. Really happy with my friends from voices too. Kellie, Amanda, Lenon, Phoebe, Dominic, Wen kai etc. such a blessing to have them around, and.. also to sing around and along with!
